Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION, REFUND, AND TRANSFER POLICY

KADI – Khouly Advanced Dental Institute
(formerly The Miami Institute)

This Cancellation, Refund, and Transfer Policy (“Policy”) constitutes a legally binding agreement between the participant (“Participant”) and KADI – Khouly Advanced Dental Institute, a Florida-based educational organization (“Institute,” “KADI”).

By registering for any course, program, Mini-Residency, or Live Patient Course, the Participant expressly acknowledges and agrees to the terms set forth below.

1. ALL SALES ARE FINAL – NO REFUNDS

All tuition payments, deposits, fees, and charges paid to KADI are final, non-refundable, and non-reversible, regardless of the reason for cancellation or non-attendance.

This policy applies to, but is not limited to:

  • Individual courses
  • Multi-day courses
  • Tracks and bundled programs
  • Mini-Residencies
  • Live Patient Courses
  • Hands-on workshops
  • Webinars, hybrid, and virtual programs

No refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to personal, professional, medical, family, travel, visa, licensure, employment, or financial reasons.

2. MINI-RESIDENCIES AND MULTI-COURSE PROGRAMS

Enrollment in a Mini-Residency or bundled program constitutes a single educational program, even if delivered over multiple dates or modules.

  • Withdrawal at any time does not entitle the Participant to a partial or prorated refund.
  • If a discounted, promotional, or referral rate was applied, the full regular tuition will be reinstated upon cancellation or withdrawal.
  • Any remaining balance becomes immediately due and payable.
  • Failure to attend one or more modules does not relieve the Participant of full financial responsibility.

3. TRANSFERS AND CREDITS (NON–LIVE PATIENT COURSES ONLY)

At the sole discretion of KADI, and strictly as a courtesy (not a right), a one-time transfer may be considered for non–live patient courses, subject to:

  • Written request submitted in advance
  • Course availability
  • Completion within 12 months of the original date
  • Payment of any tuition difference or administrative fees

Transfers are not guaranteed.
No refunds or credits will be issued if the transferred course is not attended.

LIVE PATIENT COURSES

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

ALL SALES ARE FINAL — NO REFUNDS, NO TRANSFERS

Enrollment in any Live Patient Course offered by KADI is a final, non-refundable, and non-transferable purchase.

Due to the nature of these programs and the extensive clinical, regulatory, and logistical commitments involved, no refunds, credits, substitutions, or transfers will be granted under any circumstances.

By registering for a Live Patient Course, the Participant expressly acknowledges and agrees that:

  • All payments are final and non-refundable.
  • No transfers are permitted, including transferring a seat to another person or another course date.
  • Failure to attend for any reason—including but not limited to scheduling conflicts, travel issues, illness, emergencies, visa issues, licensure issues, or personal circumstances—results in full forfeiture of tuition.

WHY LIVE PATIENT COURSES ARE STRICTLY NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE

Live patient programs require extraordinary preparation, regulatory compliance, and irreversible resource allocation, including but not limited to:

1. Extremely Limited Enrollment

Enrollment is intentionally capped to maintain strict clinical supervision ratios and ensure patient safety and educational quality.

2. Patient Selection and Case Preparation

Patients are individually selected, evaluated, consented, diagnosed, treatment-planned, and scheduled specifically for each Participant. These cases cannot be reassigned, substituted, or postponed.

3. Faculty, Staff, and Facility Commitments

Each enrollment triggers advance allocation of:

  • Faculty and clinical supervisors
  • Surgical and assisting staff
  • Operatory space and facilities
  • Instruments, biomaterials, implants, and surgical kits

These commitments are incurred immediately upon registration.

4. Educational Integrity and Patient Safety

Live patient education operates under strict protocols designed to protect patients, Participants, and faculty. Late changes compromise safety, compliance, and educational standards.

4. NO-SHOW POLICY

Participants who fail to attend, arrive late, leave early, or fail to complete required components are considered no-shows.

  • No-shows are not eligible for refunds, credits, or transfers.
  • Continuing education (CE) credits may be withheld in accordance with accrediting body requirements.

5. FORCE MAJEURE

KADI is not liable for cancellations, interruptions, or modifications caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Acts of God
  • Natural disasters
  • Public health emergencies
  • Government restrictions
  • Travel disruptions
  • Faculty illness or unavailability

KADI may reschedule or modify the course format at its discretion. No refunds will be issued.

6. COURSE MODIFICATIONS

KADI reserves the right to modify or substitute faculty, course content, schedules, locations, or formats as necessary.
Such changes do not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund.

7. CHARGEBACKS AND PAYMENT DISPUTES

By enrolling, the Participant agrees not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes.

Any chargeback will be deemed a material breach of this agreement, and the Participant will be responsible for all associated administrative fees, collection costs, and legal expenses incurred by KADI.

8. GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE

This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising under this Policy shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and the Participant consents to personal jurisdiction and venue therein.

9. ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND ACCEPTANCE

By completing registration and submitting payment, the Participant confirms that:

  • They have read and fully understand this Policy
  • They voluntarily agree to all terms
  • They accept full financial responsibility
  • They waive any claim to refunds, credits, or transfers

This Policy is binding whether or not the Participant signs a separate written agreement.
